Over 45 years ago, Friederun Köhnen set The Food Professionals as a “one-woman-business” in experimental cuisine into motion. She established the business with innovative ideas as a reliable, independent partner for the food industry. By continually supplementing her original experimental cuisine with new areas of work, she stood by her motto:

Her passion for good food and ability to view innovations from the consumer’s perspective made her and, consequently, her business so successful. Nowadays, Friederun Köhnen supports The Food Professionals with great dedication as a Member of the Supervisory Board.

As a multi-faceted service provider in the area of food, The Food Professionals are founded on three pillars: Food Consulting, Food Communication and Food Creation. In 2010, Volker Köhnen, the founder’s son, assumed management of the family business and thereby successfully transitioned it to the next generation. He manages the joint stock company with fellow Board Director Member Michaela Niedereichholz. Together with their co-workers, this skilled team makes anything possible in food matters.
